Temperature Correction (VCF)
Crude expands when warm and shrinks when cold, so custody volumes are always stated at 60 °F. This tool estimates the volume correction factor (CTL/VCF) from observed temperature and API gravity using a simplified MPMS-style model, and optionally applies it to an observed volume — useful for quick field sanity checks against a meter or gauge sheet.
Enter temperature and gravity — add an observed volume if you want the corrected figure too.
All results are an engineering estimate — not for custody transfer. Field measurement and certified tables govern.
